A first date is probably the trickiest one to go on. It is likely that you do not know each other very well and do not know what to say to impress them. The best thing is to try to ask them lots of questions and get them to talk about themselves. This will make them feel good, that you are interested in them and finding out more about them as well as helping you to find out more about them.

By knowing as much as you can, you will be able to have lots of information in order to help you to decide whether you want to go out with them again or not. It is good to be polite and also make sure that you tell them a few things about yourself too so that they know whether they would like to go out with you again. Make sure that you behave as yourself, do not try to be someone that you are not because you will not be able to keep this up forever and therefore it will seem strange when you suddenly change your behavior.

They may also not like this new behaviour or maybe did not like the original behaviour and may not go out with you again to give you a chance to show your real self.
